Use Padded Envelopes For Peace Of Mind
There is a multitude of different packaging products that can be bought and the ones that you use will ultimately depend on what it is you need to send. Obviously a cardboard box is not going to be suitable for a lot of smaller items and likewise a mailing bag shouldn't be used for anything bulky. If you are sending something that is fairly small and could potentially break then using padded envelopes can be the best choice to provide the protection needed for these items.
Produced by lining the inside of an envelope with a layer of bubble wrap, they can easily provide a sufficient level of protection for smaller items that you need to send. The fact that they are available for purchase in a variety of sizes means that you can buy according to what it is you are sending. Obviously you don't want to try and squeeze something into an envelope that is too small but at the same time you don't want a small item in a large envelope. The main things that these can be good for sending are items such as CD's, DVD's, jewellery and smaller gifts. If you want to send something that is either fairly large or extremely fragile then they should really be sent using an alternative packaging as a bubble envelope will either be too small or will not provide enough protection.
Another advantage of using these to send smaller and relatively important items such as jewellery or keys is that the layer of bubble wrap will help to conceal what is inside. If you are sending something that is fairly valuable then you wouldn't want someone feeling the packaging and realising what is in it as it opens up the possibility of the item going missing. This may not be as important if the package is sent using a courier or via recorded delivery but if you only send it through the normal posting system then it can be a good idea.
Whenever you send anything through the post, whether via Royal Mail or a parcel delivery company, it is important that you do all that you can to ensure the package arrives safely and in one piece. Nobody wants to open up a parcel to find that what they have received has been damaged. Therefore, if you are sending any smaller items then it can be a good idea to use padded envelopes to do so.

Are you supposed to use a mattress pad for a newborn?
I bought one and have read not to use it but don't really know why. Should I use one of those pads that just wraps around the center of the mattress instead? What do you use?
I bought mattress pads before I realized that most baby mattresses are already waterproof, including mine.
